I find it ironic that there is a giant monster stomping Manhattan, along with the invasion of its mutant crab children, and I am incapable of leaving my room because of a common flu. But I suppose that's what I get for neglecting my sleep in order to study poisons and animal anatomy.

Have I missed anything important, asides from that specific Sunday? I see that we have new arrivals, some of them more... interesting than others, as it normally happens. It does make me wonder how long the food and water in this place will last, though.

It still surprises me that the damage made by the monster this week wasn't too big; if we consider, of course, that the creature has the power to destroy the entire city in a matter of hours. The crabs seem to follow their mother wherever she goes, which makes me wonder if she continues to create more of them, or if they reproduce in any other way, and how fast it happens.

Either way, they make for nice shooting practice, and the sound they make when they are shot down is oddly pleasant.

As for me, I'm trying to avoid moving as much as I can; I don't think that constantly moving will make my cuts heal faster. But I will use this "free" time to make the plans I have been meaning to do for a while now, as well as write a list of the materials I need for various purposes.

Hmm. I need to get more bandages and antiseptic.

Matt, I made a different kind of map for you. I think it may be useful, if you plan on entertaining yourself a little.

[Below is a map of Manhattan with a small list of all its banks, and small notes for their locations, as well as little pictures of the buildings. Very much like this, really.]

Hmm... I should find myself a toy store. I miss building card towers and fortresses.

Waking up in the middle of the street wasn't in my plans. But then, changing from being in Japan to being in New York city, without remembering how it happened, wasn't in my plans either.

The small group of people that found me offered me help and brought me to this internet cafe. It was odd, somewhat... I didn't expect them to help me. They also told me about what happened, about the monster and the other things. I probably wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen the corpses, and the couple of dead creatures they were burning.

It makes me wonder how they appeared here. Maybe these things were a scientific experiment gone wrong, or were created purposefully with the only goal of destroying whatever crossed their paths. Either way, it looks as if this is some new form of bio-terrorism, considering the attacks that New York city suffered in the past.

It feels somewhat ridiculous to be online at a time like this, considering what appears to be happening in the area. But I suppose there isn't much to do, is there?
